This policy explains what information Backlog (“we”, “us”) collects when you use backlogads.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Backlog is operated by Mulchan Inc., Keswick, Ontario, Canada.
What we collect
When you complete the application form on our site, we collect:
- Your name, email address and mobile phone number
- Your company name, trade and city
- Your annual revenue range and monthly advertising budget range
- How your business currently handles inbound enquiries
- Whether you consented to receive SMS, and the date and time you did
We also automatically collect the page you arrived from, any campaign tracking parameters in the link you clicked, and your browser timezone.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and tell you whether your trade and market are available
- To schedule and confirm a call with you
- To provide our advertising services if you become a client
- To measure which of our own advertising campaigns are effective
SMS and text messaging
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with any third party for their own marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent records are never shared with, sold to, or transferred to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances.
If you tick the SMS consent box on our form, we will text you about your enquiry and appointment — typically 2 to 6 messages. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing anything from us. Full messaging program details are in our Terms of Service.
You can also opt out by emailing hello@backlogads.com. We honour opt-out requests immediately and permanently.
Who we share information with
We use third-party service providers to run our business. They only receive what they need to perform their function, and may not use it for their own purposes:
- GoHighLevel — customer relationship management, scheduling, email and SMS delivery
- Make.com and Google Workspace — internal reporting and record keeping
- Meta — advertising measurement, via the Meta Pixel
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.
Cookies and tracking
We use the Meta Pixel to understand which of our advertisements lead to enquiries. It sets cookies in your browser and reports events such as page views and form submissions back to Meta. You can block cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of interest-based advertising through your Meta account settings.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for up to 24 months after your last contact with us, or for the duration of our working relationship plus seven years if you become a client. Consent records are retained for as long as we may need to demonstrate that consent was given.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), or under state privacy laws in the United States. Email hello@backlogads.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in the systems listed above, each of which maintains its own security controls. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. You must be at least 18 years old to submit an application or opt in to receive text messages.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
